Lyon Equipment Rescue Specialist workshop

Lyon Equipment, who specialise in training and equipment for work at height and rescue in steep, difficult to access environments, were having a rescue specialist workshop on the beautiful river Lune and invited us along to show them the capabilities of the Aerialtronics Zenith.

So, in the setting of a gorge! We were able to put the Zenith through its paces and give the Rescue Team leaders footage of the drama unfolding upstream while they were in a more accessible part of the river, they could be up to 1km away and still get video feed from the hi def video downlink.

West Yorkshire Police Public Order Training day

We were thrilled to be asked to join in the West Yorkshire Public Order Training day at their centre near Wakefield. It’s quite a place! The facilities there include firearms ranges, driver manoeuvring area (we even managed a go in the police Landrovers) and indoor and outdoor public order area. During a mock public order training exercise, we were able to demonstrate the Aerialtronics Zenith and its use of high res camera with a 10x zoom which allowed us to keep a safe distance from the fray while still getting really good footage of who was doing what on the ground! Coupled with the 1080p hi def feed and the ability to watch the feed up to 1 km away, the Zenith could make a useful addition to policing large scale public events, from both an evidence gathering point of view and crowd behaviour modification tool.

Fire Service College

Great to see the beautiful old technology at the Fire Service College alongside the latest drone technology the Aerialtronics Zenith, equipped with its thermal and visible light camera. In addition you can put a gas sensor and a radiation sensor onto this drone.

Really interesting discussing the application of UAV’s to this challenging environment, we also got to do some tests on the fantastic training ground!
